“Where is it? Where? The entrance to Stonecore must be around here somewhere! Come on! I’ve been flying around for a good half hour!”
The first time you run the Stonecore instance, you’ll probably wipe (and, if you’re like me, it’ll be on the first trash pack). That’s when you hit a problem: where’s the entrance? For an instance with an entrance so close to the graveyard, it’s a major pain to find your way back in.
Never fear. Here’s our simple, easy to follow guide that will ensure your days of flying around in a confused circle are over.
The entrance to the Stonecore is just over halfway up the Temple Of Earth, so you’ll need a flying mount to get there. The Temple Of Earth is the central structure which forms the initial questhub for Deepholm – it’s where the portals from Orgrimmar and Stormwind will drop you. Exit the Temple and head for the west side of the structure. Start flying upwards. When you’ve gone slightly further than halfway up the side of the Temple, you’ll see a prominent ledge. That’s the entrance. Steer your airborne chicken in that general direction and you’ll see the entrance portal.
Finding the Stonecore Entrance from the portals in the Temple of Earth
If you’re using an addon that gives you map coordinates, the entrance is at [47, 52]
. Of course, that doesn’t help you with the Z-axis (the height), so here’s a quick visual guide.
Finding the Stonecore Entrance from the graveyard
If everything’s gone that depressing shade of gray and you just want to get back in and starting hitting things again, it’s an even easier trip. The entrance portal is almost directly above the graveyard.
From where your ghost appears, face the Temple Of Earth, and look up. Start flying directly upwards, and keep an eye on the left side of the screen. You’ll see the ledge with the entrance portal slightly to the left as you climb the side of the Temple.Read more →
