So, what posts on the Melting Pot have attracted the most attention these last two years?
I’m away recharging my batteries after the 5.04 / MoP launch, so this week we’re going to be looking back at some of the highlights of the last couple of years on the Pot – and hopefully suggesting a few great posts you might have missed!
First up, today, we’re looking at the most popular posts from the last two years, according to my Handy Analytics Software. I’ve excluded guide posts (or this list would read “Blood Death Knight Guide 4.3″, “Protection Paladin Guide 4.3″, “Protection Warrior Guide 4.3″…) and things that are no longer at all relevant, but otherwise, here are some of the most viewed topics of discussion over the last two years:
- Top of the roundup post list – I don’t know if it’s because of a lot of SafeSearch Off Googling – is the recent discussion over whether Guild Wars 2′s outfits were too obsessed with boobs
- Blizzard’s decision to show a video of Cannibal Corpse band member Corpsegrinder delivering a homophobic rant at Blizzcon 2011 sparked rage in the community and a massive protest, of which this post was part
- The massive nerfs made to Firelands normal and Heroic raid modes split opinions across the board
- More recently, several bloggers’ declaration that you should avoid crafting in Guild Wars 2 caused a lot of interest, comment and discussion
- And finally – and this surprised me – our roundup of SWTOR’s PvP woes with their Ilium battleground has been startlingly popular
Tomorrow we’ll look at the most discussed posts on the Pot – from Theramore to SWTOR addons to “slut plate”.
